It's Friday the 13th and they say it is an unlucky day! Well, at least it is a good day to start reviewing your high school french and view and review some sites that we'll call "resource sites" that will help you with your french lessons. Learning French Review will guide you now and again to some sites that we trust and that can help you tremendously in your quest of learning the french language.
We say it is "Friday the 13th", in french it is "vendredi le 13". We also talk about
Friday the 13th as a "day fraught with peril", in french "une journée porte malheur".
Things they say bring bad luck :
To break a mirror, brings seven years of bad luck, in french, briser un mirroir amène 7 ans de malheur.
To open an umbrella in a house, in french, ouvrir un parapluie dans la maison.
To walk under a ladder, in french, marcher sous une échelle.
Earlier, I spoke about resources that can help you learn french, so this is a very good site where you can find out how to say any word that you don't know and you can also listen to the pronunication of the word.
Perhaps you can start learning the days of the week!
